A pipe temperature sensor measures the medium in steam, water, oil and gas lines – as an immersion probe, elbow-mounted or pressure-rated cable probe. Range −96 … 600 °C, German-made sensing element, to European standards EN 60751 (Pt100) and EN 60584-1 (thermocouples).

Pipe temperature sensor specifications
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Element | Pt100 (EN 60751) or thermocouple (EN 60584-1) |
| Range | −96 … 600 °C |
| Cable | High-pressure rated cable |
| Installation | Direct immersion, via thermowell, elbow, clamp-on |
| Origin | German sensor |
Pipe temperature sensor installation

- Immersion via thermowell: most accurate, sensor change on line, high pressure and velocity.
- Elbow: longer immersion in small pipes, tip facing the flow.
- Clamp-on: no pipe penetration; needs thermal paste and insulation; larger error.
- Cable probe: bends to fit difficult locations.
Applications
- Steam, condensate and hot water lines.
- Thermal oil, HVAC, chilled water.
- Food and chemical process piping.
