Dust suppression nozzles create a curtain of droplets that capture airborne dust and bring it down at factories, coal yards, conveyors, boiler houses, dryers and thermal oil heaters. They work best when droplet size matches the dust particle size. ISE advises on nozzle choice, pressure and header layout.

General data
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Pattern | Full cone, fine mist (hydraulic or air atomising) |
| Material | 303/316 stainless, brass |
| Pressure | By design: low to high pressure |
| Applications | Factories, boilers, dryers, thermal oil heaters, coal yards |
Choosing dust suppression nozzles by dust size

Coarse dust (soil, lump coal) suits full cone nozzles; fine dust needs high-pressure mist or air atomising nozzles. Oversized drops fall quickly without capturing fine dust.
Applications

- Transfer points for coal, stone and ash on conveyors.
- Coal storage and raw material yards.
- Boiler feed areas and dryers.
Flow and layout

Q₂ = Q₁·√(P₂/P₁); coverage W = 2·H·tan(θ/2). Filter water upstream to avoid clogging.
