Scrubber nozzles are used in wet scrubbers, settling chambers, wet cyclones and flue gas cooling for boilers, thermal oil heaters, dryers and waste incinerators. They create a water curtain across the tower section to capture dust and absorb part of the acid gases. ISE specialises in dust nozzles for industrial systems.

Choosing scrubber nozzles

Scrubbers need full section coverage: wide-angle full cones (120 – 170°) on several levels; hot gas cooling uses hollow cone or mist for fast evaporation. Acid gases call for 316L.
Flow and coverage

Q₂ = Q₁·√(P₂/P₁); W = 2·H·tan(θ/2). Overlap the sprays so no gas bypasses.
Applications

- Scrubbers after wood, husk and coal-fired boilers.
- Incinerators: cooling, HCl and SO₂ absorption.
- Dryers: wet dust recovery.
