The CST-HSB4300 head-mounted temperature transmitter fits inside the sensor connection head and converts Pt100 or thermocouple signals into a linear 4–20 mA, 2-wire loop-powered output. It offers high accuracy and is programmable for sensor type, range and sensor-break alarm using the CSI-USB1 configuration kit.
It is the simple way to turn a Pt100 or thermocouple into a 4-20mA temperature sensor that transmits a stable signal over long distances to PLCs, DCS and indicators. Designed and tested to European CE directives. Equipment Industrial Solution Co., Ltd (ISE) supplies the CST-HSB4300 and supports range configuration.
Advantages of the CST-HSB4300 temperature transmitter
- Accepts both Pt100 and thermocouples – one model for many sensors, less inventory.
- Field programmable: sensor type, range and burn-out mode via CSI-USB1.
- High accuracy: 0.2 °C ± 0.05 % of reading; thermal drift only ±0.02 °C/°C.
- Wide ranges: Pt100 −195 to +845 °C; thermocouple −195 to +1820 °C; minimum span 25 °C.
- Sensor-break alarm: output goes to 21.5 mA (upscale) or below 3.9 mA (downscale) so the PLC detects a failed sensor immediately.
- Compact head mounting, screw terminals, 2-wire 4–20 mA for long-distance, noise-immune transmission.

Applications of temperature signal transmitters
- Mounted in Pt100 and type K, S thermocouple heads to send 4–20 mA directly to PLC/DCS.
- Boiler, steam line, feedwater, flue gas and thermal oil temperature.
- Tank and pipeline temperature in food, chemical, textile and water treatment plants.
- Kilns, dryers and heat-treatment furnaces with thermocouples up to 1800 °C.
- HVAC, remote temperature monitoring and long-distance signal transmission.
FAQ
Why use a temperature transmitter instead of wiring the Pt100 directly to the panel?
RTD resistance and thermocouple mV signals are weak, noise-sensitive and affected by cable length. Converting to 4–20 mA at the sensor head allows accurate transmission over hundreds of metres using ordinary cable instead of compensating cable.
What is the sensor-break output for?
If the sensor or wiring breaks, the output drives to 21.5 mA or below 3.9 mA so the PLC recognises a fault rather than a real temperature.
Can the range be set before delivery?
Yes. Tell us the sensor type (Pt100 or thermocouple type) and the required range, and ISE will configure it.
