Belt press wash nozzles spray high-pressure water to continuously clean the filter belts of belt filter presses in wastewater treatment plants. Blinded belts stop drainage, leave wet cake and cut throughput. ISE supplies flat fan nozzles and self-cleaning brush headers for belt presses.

Why wash belt press belts?
Sludge is dewatered between two mesh belts passing over press rollers. Because sludge is fed continuously, the belts must be washed after every pass to stay open.
Selecting and arranging flat fans
Flat fans give high impact on a narrow band; set them at a slight angle so sprays do not collide and overlap evenly across the belt width. Filter wash water (or treated effluent) upstream to prevent clogging.
