The CST-PT pressure transmitter (also called a pressure sensor or pressure transducer) is a compact, all-stainless-steel sensor for liquids and gases from vacuum −1 bar up to 1000 bar, with 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, 0.5–4.5 V, PNP/NPN, RS485 or IO-Link output. - Thread: G1/4 is common for hydraulics and pneumatics; G1/2 for water and industrial piping.
- Hot media (steam, hot oil): use the cooling-fin version or a siphon (pigtail) tube.
FAQ
Can the CST-PT measure boiler steam pressure?
Yes, when installed via a siphon so that steam condenses and the sensor stays below 125 °C, or by choosing the cooling-fin version.
What is the difference between 2-wire and 3-wire?
2-wire 4–20 mA shares the supply and signal on one pair – simple wiring and long transmission distance. 3-wire has separate supply, signal and common wires, used when the receiving device requires it.
Can it measure vacuum?
Yes. Ranges of −100 kPa…0 (−1…0 bar) and compound ranges are available.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Pressure range, medium and temperature, output signal, thread type and electrical connection (cable, DIN plug, M12).
